DO NOT LOSE HEART! by Anna Tucker

DO NOT LOSE HEART!

When you've given your all,
And have answered the call
To a life set apart;
Then do not lose heart,
When some do not understand,
Just remember who holds your hand.

When you've known defeat,
And you're feeling just about beat,
Remember what you must do,
For "He" remaineth true;
True to the end,
And He will not send more than you can bear.

So be vigilant in prayer,
And not given to despair
Rebuke the deceiver,
Stand firm as a believer;
For in Christ you can rest,
He knoweth what's best!

So we may say with confidence, the Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid what man can do to me. Hebrews 13:6
Although he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:24
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that in Christ Jesus. II Timothy 2:1

What is a True Woman?

A true woman is willing, serious, and determined to reflect the beauty and heart of Christ to her world. She seeks to live a God-centered life, trusting Him and saying "Yes, Lord!" She knows this is only possible by His grace, and seeks to do so in community.

1 Peter 5
Shepherd the Flock of God
5:1 So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: 2 shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, [1] not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; [2] not for shameful gain, but eagerly; 3 not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. 5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Final Greetings
12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it. 13 She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son. 14 Greet one another with the kiss of love.

Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

SUN GLASSES

I have never worn sun glasses on a daily basis in my life. I have shopped and shopped and have never found a decent looking pair of sunglasses that would fit my face shape. In other words I either look like a bumble bee, some type of bug or like a crazy person. So here I am now at 21 and already seeing signs of wrinkles...... SO I have decided to completely not care about the appearance and look like a bumble bee VS. getting more wrinkles before my time. So here are a few pictures of my new best best friend.. I call it "THE UV GOT NOTHING ON ME" :-p

Scars

Scars:
They leave a hurt, maybe you could have avoided them, maybe they just had to happen, but God uses them to teach us about His unending love and mercy.

Psalm 34:17-20

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. TheLord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me

Proverbs 19:21

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

A friend lend me a book called "The Truth Of The Cross" by R. C. Sproul, and this stood out to me from the first 2 chapters..

"Someday I have to stand before my Maker and give an account for every word I've spoken, every deed I've ever done, every thought I ever thought, and every task I've failed to do"

This just basically hit me like a rock.. Am I being a good steward of what the Lord has entrusted to me???

1 Corinthians 4:1

This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God

1 Corinthians 4:2

Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

2 Timothy 2:15

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

1 John 3:16-18

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

"If people understood that there is a holy God and that sin is an offense against that holy God, they would break down the doors of our churches and ask, "What must I do to be saved?"

WHAT A NIGHT!

It started off as a nice bus ride with the church young adults to the beach at night, we were around 40 so we took two vans. When we got there, the sand was colder than the ice skating rink floor, and a few moments after we arrived to the beach our young adults Pastor got a call from his wife saying that her WATER BROKE!!!

We still had some time before the labor soo...We were all excited to be there as a group and forgot about the cold weather and sang some worship songs to our Lord. We talked about the tsunami and earthquake that happened in Japan and we just had a time of prayer and reflection of how even through these things God is still God and he is still sovereign and good. Shortly after, we found this cozy pizza place called "Los Primo's Pizza." BUT SHE was about to give BIRTH.. By the grace of God a young adult had brought his own car and was able to take our Pastor and leave us all there to fellowship some more!!!

We were able to play pool, air hockey, and some game that you have to punch something really hard and see who scored the highest. Well yeah it was already about 12:45 and we decided to head out home...Seems like a pretty successful night right? Well as the groups parted toward the separately parked vans, one van was missing!!!!!!! It had been towed... So imagine then 40 people trying to fit in a bus meant for 20. As we tried and discussed for 10 minutes of how to fit in the bus like packed sardines... We realized it WOULDN'T WORK haha and it would be worse getting a ticket for a clown filled van and a towed truck fee.. So a couple of people went to get the missing van from the tow place and they were able to recover the van and take us all home safely and comfortably. Man God is so good.. He allowed us to have a great time of worshipping him at the beach, and to arrive home safely even with the craziness that occurred.. Oh and by the way the Pastor was able to make it right in the nick of time to see his wife give birth to their second daughter. Woooo I feel like i have to take a breath after this eventful night.

Singleness

Oh man I am so not an expert at this but here is what I've learned so far. Through continuous prayer God has been teaching me that singleness is a
gift. Yup its a gift and I am not talking about "woohooo I am single let me go crazy.. After all its a gift" NO not at all.. here is why.... In 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

The theme here is that God gives us all these gifts and He doesn't give us bad gifts, it is for the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good, He so kindly gives us these gifts so that we would basically lift His name high. God is sovereign and He knows all things and His timing is perfect. I would like you to see that singleness is a Blessing and not a curse.

By no means am I saying its easy to be waiting, and sometimes these thoughts consume me .. "Who am I going to marry?, Will i have kids? and Am I even going to get married??." But honestly you go through the motions so much and you get discouraged while our God through His word is telling us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7)... I've basically noticed that it is when I am not in His word, that there it is where I get lost in self-pity. But man God brings me back and I realize ..This life is NOT about me its about Him and advancing His kingdom.. I am here for a blink of an eye, everything here is temporary..

The purpose of marriage is to reflect Christ's love for us, He is the groom and the head, and loves us sacrificially and, we the church are the bride and submit to His authority etc... As i pondered on that i thought HELLO I can soo reflect Christ through my singleness in loving on people and being an example to those God has placed in my life, through submitting to His will that He has made evident to me which is to enjoy this time and do as many things as I can to advance His kingdom.!

Maybe if your reading this your like YEAH God is awesome and He has a plan for me and I just need to calm it down and wait on His provision and see this as what it is a "gift".. I say Amen so do I.. haha. I encourage you to pray and ask God to use you in whatever season of life your in and to give you patience as you wait on Him, that we would not get caught up in our own desires but that we would seek His desires for our lives.

There is this book which i have to give credit to, most of the things I'm writing I learned from this source and its girded towards women.."Did I kiss marriage goodbye" by Carolyn McCully. Don't let the title fool you this book is awesome and its helped me to just Trust God and His plans for my life, whatever they may be.

Our lives are after all to live for Him!
