Psalm 56:13

For you have delivered my soul from death yes my feet from falling that I may walk before God in the light of life.

High Heels Trauma

I was invited by my family to come and eat with them to a place called "Rainforest Cafe" My little cousins from Texas are visiting for the summer and we want to enjoy the time with them as much as possible. I had been to it before in Orlando when I was about 12. I love going there its like a jungle. While your eating they have monkeys making noise and Elephants, serpents, crocodiles moving.

Well anyway, back to the trauma case!
As I was walking through sawgrass mall I notice my feet are being pressed up in the front and my ankle is kinda giving out on me. I optimistically continued walking thinking it was just a temporary pain. I guessed wrong. As I continued walking a little more the pain was unbearable. It was just impossible on my ankle. So i took of the 5 inch heels and started waking barefoot. My little cousin lent me his Sunday Church socks and I walked barefoot in the mall and through the restaurant.
The food was pretty good and the Volcano chocolate cake and ice cream was just amazing. After that I saw some CROCS in the gift shop and I went crazy over them. Ive been wanting a pair for a long time and I couldnt think of a better opportunity to purchase them.
So there you have it! This is why i look like a nut case in this outfit.. BEWARE OF HIGH HEEL TRAUMA!

New Adventures

Melissa and I were invited to a bachelorette party up in west palm beach. It was different and fun. They had a few games, one of them was to guess what actor, sports player, or singer you had written on a sticky note on your back. The other game we had to pin the junk on the hunk, and for the last game we had to make a lingerie piece from toilet paper. Here is our creation for Melissa

After the party the other girls went off to a club and Mel and I went to this place called BBKings at City Place!!! It was such an awesome experience like out of a movie. We got in for free and got to hear some awesome music. It was kinda weird at first because we were the only two white girls trying to break it down on the floor. But it was so much fun listening to the house band play some familiar tunes.

Trust

As I was reading Psalms 9:10 which reads " And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you." I also read the commentary under my bible which said that to know Gods name, to put trust in him, and to seek him are all ideals of OT piety, of which the people of Israel often fell short.
Its so eye opening or better said good to remember and to notice that from the beginning of time we have always had an issue with trusting God. He continually proves to be trust worthy and perfect in all that He does and we continue to doubt and to worry.

Nancy Leigh DeMoss: It’s not wrong to ask why.

God is just wanting Job to see that there are so many things that we can’t begin to understand. Don’t try to think that you can understand why this suffering.
Then we come to the great statement of confession and repentance in Job 42, beginning in verse one.
Then Job answered the Lord and said, "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted." [You said, O God,] "Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?" Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. [You said to me,] "Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you make it known to me [Job]" (verses 1-4).
[Then Job says to God,] “I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes” (verses 5-6).
It’s not wrong to ask why, but are you asking with this turmoil and this drive that says, “God, if You don’t explain it, I won’t love You; I won’t trust You; I won’t obey You”? Or are you asking with this searching heart that says, “God, I want to know more of You. I want to know more of Your ways. I want to know anything You want to show me through this. But if I have to live with mystery and unanswered questions the rest of my life, I will still trust You. I will still love You. I will still obey You.”

Listen to the podcast i truly recommend it. You will be blessed by it.

PUMPED

Im so excited for Youth Camp this year the theme is "Set Free"!!!!! We will be studying Romans 8. Its gonna be my first youth camp!! This year God has given me the opportunity and responsibility to lead the youth in worship on wednesdays in power night and sooo for the youth camp the youth band comes along..

We had our meeting on Tuesday to get all the songs and chords ready, and today was our first practice.. I am so grateful to God for helping us today and leading us.. Honestly we got down some really difficult songs.. Today we did "Rise and Sing, Search My Heart, Forever, Set Free, No Chain On Me, and others I cant seem to remember the names to right now..

Tomorrow were going to practice as well just to get all the songs down packed for camp which is from July 5-9!!

Please if your reading this take the time to pray for the youth in our church.. Its been pretty tough but I know the LORD is already in work and doing something big!! Pray that they would be receptive to His word and worship.. Also pray that after they come back from camp that they would continue in worship with their lives.
